Sika® Cleaner PCA
Cleaning pad and primer applicator
Sika® Cleaner PCA is a smart cleaning pad based on melamine foam. It is used for removal of contamination or cleaning of windshields and other surfaces. Additionally it can be used to apply certain Sika® Primers.

Areas of Application
Sika® Cleaner PCA is designed for the removal of contamination on ceramic frits or glass. It can also be used for the removal of label residues and other kinds of contamination.Sika® Cleaner PCA is well suited to apply Sika® Primers used in the Automotive Glass Replacement business.
This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Compatibility with the current substrate has to be verified prior to the application. Before using Sika® Cleaner PCA to sensitive surfaces (e.g. plastics, etc.) it is recommended to test it on a small, possibly non-visible area of the base material.
Prior the adhesive application the surface has to be pre-treated according to Sika’s surface preparation recommendations.
Application
METHOD OF APPLICATION
To remove the contamination from windshields, use Sika® CleanGlass respectively Sika® Cleaner G+P or an equivalent non antistatic glass cleaner to wet the surface and detect contamination. Start scrubbing with a Sika® Cleaner PCA the bond area. For heavy contamination Sika® Cleaner PCA can be used dry to increase effectivness.
Always consider that it is designed for single use application only.
Wipe the Sika® CleanGlass off and allow the surface to dry completely before the next step in surface preparation is performed.
FAQ
- The use of dry Sika®Cleaner PCA increases cleaning efficiency as the glass cleaner can act as a lubricant.
- If the surface tension of a substrate is insufficient the primer will show wetting issues on the surface. This is mostly known from non-traditional contaminations present on ceramic frits.
- Remove and clean (Sika®Cleaner PCA), or use glass fit for purpose.
