Boost your Transportation Sandwich Panel Production with Sika’s 3-Component Adhesive System
Do you want to optimize your production of durable, weight-optimized, and high-quality sandwich panels? If so, you have found the ideal partner in Sika.
Our SikaForce® 3-component adhesive system is our latest innovation delivering unique values for the production of transportation sandwich panels. By adjusting the process speed in real time, it is now possible to laminate a comprehensive range of sandwich panels in the shortest possible time and to compensate for workshop temperature variations.
The adhesive system consists of three components, two different A-components, one fast and one slow curing, and a hardener. This setup makes it possible to vary the ratio of the two A-components to control the process speed in real time, resulting in a faster production speed and optimum productivity.
Key Product Benefits:
Efficient production
Short cycle times
High output
Which Sandwich Panels can be Bonded with 3-Component System?
SikaForce®-712 3-Component system is used primarily for bonding of metal, fiber cement, wood and glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) to expanded and extruded polystyrene foam (EPS and XPS), polyurethane foam and mineral wool in the manufacturing of sandwich panel elements. Thus, ideal for the manufacturing of sandwich panels for the transportation market. However, the adhesive system may be applied to any sandwich panel type including the above mentioned materials.
What is the Composition of the 3-Component System?
SikaForce®-712 3-component system consists of three components, two different A-components, one fast curing (SikaForce®-712 L7), and one slow curing (SikaForce®-712 L80), in combination with a hardener (SikaForce®-010). The mixing ration of the components can be adjusted to your production needs.
Is the 3-Component System Compatible with all Application Systems?
If you are already using a 3-component system, whether it is automatic, semi-automatic or manual, our SikaForce®-712 3-component system is compatible with your application system.
However, if you are currently using a 1- or 2-component system, a modification of your application system is required.
Since we work closely with equipment suppliers and have many years of experience in this area, we can help you adapting your current system.
