CURE MECHANISM
SikaLastomer® IG-105 is a non-reactive polyisobutylene and stays paste-like and viscoelastic.
Application
Surface preparation
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, oil and dust.
Application
SikaLastomer® IG-105 must be heated-up to the required application temperature before being applied by the extruder. Preliminary application tests to set up the equipment are mandatory.
SikaLastomer® IG-105 must be applied with the same amount on both sides of the spacer. It is recommended to apply 2.8 ± 0.3 g per linear meter on each side of the spacer.
SikaLastomer® IG-105 bead on the spacer must be continuous without interruptions on the whole perimeter of the spacer.
Removal
SikaLastomer® IG-105 may be removed from tools and equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or another suitable solvent.
Hands and exposed skin have to be washed immediately using hand wipes such as Sika® Cleaner-350H or a suitable industrial hand cleaner and water.
Do not use solvents on skin.
Application limits
