Sikaflex®-592

Sikaflex®-592 is an assembly adhesive highly resistant to dynamic stresses suitable for interior and exterior bonding and sealing applications in the maritime industry. Sikaflex®-592 is an elastic 1-component Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) adhesive of thixotropic, paste-like consistency which cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture. Sikaflex®-592 can be accelerated with Sika PowerCure or SikaBooster® technologies.

    Overview

    Areas of Application

    Sikaflex®-592 is suitable with substrates com monly used in the maritime industry. Suitable substrate materials are metals, particularly aluminum, metal primers, paint coatings, sheet steel, ceramic materials and certain plastics. It bonds well to a wide range of sub strates with minimal pre-treatment. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed to ensure adhesion and material compatibility.
