Glass bonding adhesive for the maritime industry

Sikaflex®-696 is an adhesive for mineral glass bonding suitable for interior and exterior applications in the maritime industry. Sikaflex®-696 is an elastic 1-component polyurethane adhesive which cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture. It is based on Purform®, an industry-leading polyurethane with less than
0.1 % monomeric diisocyanate for better
health protection and occupational safety. Sikaflex®-696 can be accelerated with Sika PowerCure or SikaBooster® technologies.

  • Accelerated curing: Curing can be accelerated with SikaBooster® or PowerCure technologies

Areas of Application

Sikaflex®-696 is suitable with substrates com monly used in the marine industry. Before in stalling laminated safety glasses, which incor porate heating elements in the PVB sandwich layer, contact Sika's Technical Service Depart ment for advice. Tests with actual substrates and conditions have to be performed ensuring adhesion and material compatibility.
